My favorite mascara to use
It seems like every day I get compliments about my eyelashes. I am so blessed to have naturally long lashes, but the type of mascara I use really affects the length and volume they're able to reach.
The key to having super long lashes has two parts: one is the type of mascara you use and the technique you use to put it on. My go-to mascara is Loreal Telescopic Mascara. Click here to order your own on SALE at Target! This is the absolute BEST mascara I have ever used. I've spent upwards of $100 on a tube of mascara and the Telescopic mascara is the best kind ever, even if it is only $8. Plus, Loreal typically runs deals and offer coupons on makeup products, so you can usually get these products for around $5-6. That's a lot better than $100!
The other key to having long lashes is the technique you use to apply it. If I'm truthful with y'all, I usually apply mascara while I'm driving down the road on the way to a venue. However, each day when I apply it, I use the same technique. Since the Loreal wand is very thin, it's best to begin straight in the middle of your lashes, then move to the outside corners and edges of your lashes. With this type of mascara, it's best to apply the first few coats, allow it to somewhat dry, then go back and continue applying it. Since I'm typically rushing around, i.e. driving and applying it, the car vents really help me out with drying them (LOL). After allowing some dry-time, be sure to continually using an upward, sweeping motion to faux curl them.
Often times, when people ask what mascara I use, they also ask how or what lash curler I use to achieve my curled look. Again, my lashes naturally curl up, but typically, the way I apply is what causes them to curl up to my eyebrows.
If you're reading this thinking "all this just for some lashes?!", the answer is YES. Always YES. However, if you're not into all this applying and dry-time, then maybe a better direction for you would be lash extensions or lash lifts. Click here to read about my experience with last extensions!
